Photo printers are a league of their own in the consumer printing industry because they cater to a specific need of being able to print your own photographs at home. There are many players in this section of the consumer printer market, and Canon is just one of them. Canon photo printers are decent in general and do give some good customer satisfaction.

For the year 2009, what does Canon have to offer in terms of photo printers? Here are some of the best Canon photo printers that we have seen this year thus far.

1. Canon Selphy ES30.30_Canon Selphy ES30 The Canon Selphy ES30 is a cute little portable printer that you can take along with you wherever you go. Shaped like a small plastic handbag, this Canon photo printer is such a darling. Some people may find it too pretty to be substantial at first, but that was before they saw this photo printer at work.

The output of this Canon photo printer is brilliant. The details are crisp and sharp and the colors are bright. Although the sublimation process involved in printing the photos can be tricky, this printer is quite easy to use. So, with the Canon Selphy ES30, you are guaranteed to have a pretty gadget that actually works.

30_Canon Pro 9000 Mark II2. Canon Pro 9000 Mark II. The Canon Pro 9000 Mark II is a great photo printer for professional photographers. With the eight canon ink cartridge tanks inside, this Canon photo printer is sure to render colors on a photograph with a high degree of accuracy. And indeed, photographs printed out on this machine are beautiful and long-lasting.

A notable thing about this Canon photo printer is its size. Measuring 16 inches wide and 14 inches deep, it may be a challenge to get this printer to sit snuggly on a desktop. Nonetheless, it does not look bad despite its being bulky and boxy. This Canon photo printer is also a bit on the slow side, taking a quarter of a minute to produce a 4″ x 6″ print. The printout is worth the wait, however, because the quality is great.

3. Canon Pixma IP3000. If the Canon Pro 9000 Mark II is the photo printer for professionals, the Canon Pixma IP3000 is the photo printer for the amateur photo enthusiast. What is more is that it is so small that you can actually put it in your laptop case and bring it wherever you go.

Photos printed using this Canon photo printer can be just as beautiful as those printed on a photo printer for professional use. It is also cute and it will be pleasant to look at while sitting on your desktop.

That ES 30 is actually a good printer beyond some of the gimmicky features. I have one of these and am impressed.
