Differences Between HP Printer Series
Hewlett Packard or HP in short has been in the printer business for quite some time. Their range of offerings include color inkjet printers, color laser printers, color multi function printers, all-in-one printers, photo printers, black and white laser printers, black and white multifunction printers and all-in-one printers, mobile printers and large and wide Industrial wide format printers and digital printing presses for graphic arts as well as hp ink cartridges. We shall briefly review some of these products:
1. Color inkjet printers
Ideally suited for photo printing, printing color documents, and printing high volumes of black and white documents. For best results, genuine HP photo papers available in a range of finishes and weight are recommended. The business model has speeds of 10.5 to 37 ppm for black prints and 11 to 33 for color. Color prints on HP photo paper premium will be upto 4800×1200 optimized dpi. Upto 3 input trays are offered with a cumulative capacity of 1,100 sheets.
The home and home office model is marginally lower in speed while retaining the other attributes of the business model.
2. Color laser printers
This color laser jet printers offer high volume, high speed solutions for color printing. For enhanced flexibility, several networking and paper handling options are included. Typical speed for the business model is 8ppm to 31mm for black and 4 to 31 ppm for color. A maximum of 6 input trays with cumulative capacity of 2600 sheets is offered. The Home and Home office model offers 3 input trays with a total capacity of 875 sheets. The speed in the case of this model is 16 to 20 ppm for black and 4ppm for color.
3. Multifunction color printers and all-in-one printers
This represents a single product with high reliability for multiple tasks such a print, copy, scan and fax in color. You can improve efficiency and workflow while eliminating the need for multiple products for high quality documents in color. The space saving too is significant. The business model has speeds of 7 to 30ppm in the normal state and 18 to 30 in the draft state. The speed for color prints is 4 to 30 ppm for normal and draft. The Home and Home office variation offers speed 12 to 30 ppm in draft state and 10 to 20 ppm in normal state. 2 input trays with a capacity of 400 sheets is offered while the business model offers 4 input trays with capacity up to 43,100 sheets.
4. Black and white laser printers
This again offers two variations i.e., Business and Home and Home office.
This is heralded as the most ideal solution for high quality high volume black and white printing solutions and toner cartridge usage, and a reliability factor extending over 15 years. Average speed is 15 to 50 ppm for the two models. Paper trays with adequate capacity are provided.
5. Photo printers
The HP Photosmart printers are for photos that can last. A number of automatic features for editing, output size and option for direct printing of photos, and the HPVivera inks that last long, this stands out as a versatile photo printer.
