How to Print From Your iPhone
There are really a lot of things you may enjoy while using your iPhone. This is not just an ordinary mobile phone where you can simply send text messages or make a phone call. Well, you can also print from it.
But the question for many iPhone users is how to print using the gadget. There are two ways you may do so. These are direct or wireless printing and shared print apps.
Direct or wireless printing tips from your iPhone
Take note that direct printing from your iPhone may only be made possible using HP’s iPrint Photo. This printing option makes use of the WiFi in your phone that is the same as that of your HP inkjet printer. This is also known as wireless printing.
You do not need to make use of your computer with this direct printing method and yet you can get 4″ by 6″ printouts at a time. Your printer should have its own WiFi or you may make use of a Mac OS. Make sure that the latter’s printer sharing option is activated or turned on.
Shared print applications
Aside from using wireless or direct printing options, you may also consider using shared printing applications. There are programs that will permit you to do the printing user shared printers. Make sure that the application as well as the printer is linked to a network with WiFi capabilities. Here are some print applications that you may make use of:
- Air Sharing Pro from Avatron. This print app is bug-free and sells at $9.99. This can be used in Canon printers but not in a Brother printer. The good thing about this app is it can recognize shared printing options immediately and can even print a picture in a larger format. The Air Sharing Pro allows you to use your iPhone as a flash drive. It also has the capacity to read files coming from any type of cloud-based storage systems such as the iDisk. But this is best suited for printing documents, PDF’s and photos that are stored on the disk only.
- iPrintApp. This comes from another company known as Celstream Technologies and costs only $1.99. While this is a powerful printing application, it can sometimes bug down. This is best suited for Epson and Canon printers but cannot work for Brother Printers.
These are just a few of the things that you may use to print documents, photos and other files from your iPhone. These are interesting options but can be limited as to the printer type you own. It is a good thing that you can use it to print wirelessly through your HP printers while you may use print apps for Canon and Epson printers.
