Whoever said that office supplies are just good for office use? Whenever people are caught in a fashion crisis on their way to an important business meeting, the best way to remedy it is through using your office supplies. While it may seem to first appear as a ridiculous idea, you would be surprised to find out that it is nothing new. For all you know, even your boss might even be using a couple of these tricks for themselves. All it takes is a bit of confidence on your part to make it look like nothing had happened.

Below are just some office and printing supplies that you can use in order to make that quick temporary fix to how you look when you need to be at your best in the office.

Staplers

Your stapler is one of the most handy office supplies that would be able to help you fix some of the most embarrassing fashion emergencies that you may experience. It is a perfect way to fix those loose looking slacks and blazers that you often use. It is also extremely helpful to tame those sleeves that you have folded in place to keep you from fixing it every now and then. More importantly, it would be able to help you deal with those instances when the zipper of your skirt or pants suddenly gives way in the office. To make sure that the staple wires are not that conspicuous, make sure that you staple these from the inside out. That way, your officemates would even barely notice it.

Markers

Another handy office supply that you can use to help you deal with fashion emergencies are markers. Not all stains can be removed just simply by trying to wash it off, especially when the stain happens to be on your shoes. Lightly run a marker over the stain to cover this. In order to make sure that the remedy is not that obvious, make sure that you only put a light coating on the stain.

Thumb Tacks and Erasers

The last thing that any office worker to experience is to suddenly just loose a button in some of the most inconspicuous parts of their clothing, like on their slacks or skirt. Instead of looking around for someone who has a sewing kit (which most likely they would not have), slice off a piece of your pencil’s eraser, grab your box of thumb tacks and head to the wash room. Metal flat-top thumb tacks would work best since they are relatively flat and would be able to serve as a temporary button because it would look like one from afar. Attach the thumb tack with the flat side outward and secure your pants and skirt. Stick the pencil eraser at the back so that you would not end up puncturing yourself.

Letter Openers

If you are having a bad hair day and just found out that you have a meeting with your boss, you can use your letter opener to fasten your hair into a bun behind you. Not only would you end up looking smart and decent. Since most letter openers come in gold and silver plated designs, it would look like a fashionable hair accessory as well.
