Top Rated New Dell Printers Released in 2009
Dell, Inc. is one of the more recognized names in the computer manufacturing industry. Its Dell printers have had its share of fans and critics alike, but then again, no one can please everybody. It cannot be denied, however, that Dell printers are solid performers in their own right.
For the year 2009, what does Dell, Inc. have to give its loyal customers by way of printers? Here is a shortlist of Dell printers that somehow made the critics’ mark this year to date.
1. Dell Wasabi PZ31. The Dell Wasabi PZ31 is such a cute printer, with its petite size and its pretty pink color. This Dell printer is a handheld printer that you can take anywhere with you so that you can print those photos that you took with your cellphone or digital camera while you are on the go.
The Dell Wasabi PZ31 does not use ink cartridges but instead works on Zink technology. Thus, it makes use of special Zink paper to create photo printouts. As cute as this Dell printer is, it cannot be denied that the high cost of its Zink paper is its major downside. Still, it is a pretty thing to have.
Price: US$149.99
2. Dell V305w All-in-One Printer. The Dell V305w All-in-One Printer is a decent heavy duty printer that you can comfortably use at home. The design is the typical eye candy design that most Dell printers come in, so it will not be an eyesore on your desk.
This Dell printer also boasts of one of the fastest printing rates for black text documents for its class, with the rate being eight pages per minute. It is also very cheap for a printer of its kind. The biggest disadvantage to this Dell printer is that while it is indeed inexpensive, it is an ink guzzler and dell ink cartridges it uses are on the pricey side.
Price: US$99.99
3. Dell 2130CN. Not every home computer user opts to have a color laser at home, owing to the fact that color lasers are more expensive than multifunction inkjets, but the Dell 2130CN is proving to be a good option as a color laser printer for the home office. Performance is more than acceptable, as it churns out text documents and graphics of good quality at a passable speed.
This Dell printer has a few flaws, nonetheless. One is that many home office users find it too big and boxy for their desks. Another is that ink cartridges are reported to be expensive.
Price: US$349.00
