Would You Own This Printer? World Strangest Printer
Computer technology has yielded so many strange gadgets and devices over the years. The Japanese, in particular, are quite notorious for churning out weird goodies that only geeks would probably love. While some weird gadgets are indeed fun, like those USB toys that launch missiles at targeted co-workers, would you own a strange gadget just because it is, well, unusual?
It is currently what is called the strangest printer in the world, especially by pundits and trolls on the Internet. What this strange printer basically does is to print an image on a piece of toast. It could probably print images on other surfaces, but the fact that it can print on toast – and that someone would actually waste time and effort to print on toast – is, well, unusual.
It may be fun to own a strange printer like that and print a number of pictures to munch on for breakfast, but the novelty of it would probably wear out after a while.
But if you are into specialty printers and strange gadgets, there are certainly a lot more stuff that you can go for, whether at regular shops that sell these gizmos or on the Internet.
In the case of specialty printers, the ones that fall under this category are typically mobile printers, photo printers and multi-function printers. These printers can definitely sound prosaic.
But then again, what is not to love about having a photo printer that you can lug around with you whenever you feel the urge to indulge in digital photography? It is always neat to be able to print your photos in an instant, wherever you are.
There are also mobile photo printers that do not even make use of ink. Instead, they use special paper that already has the ink embedded in it. What happens when you print a photo using this particular specialty printer is that the heat from the printer melts the ink until the desired image is formed.
You can also get yourself a PrintBrush. The PrintBrush is a handheld specialty printer, probably the world’s smallest. It makes use of a printing technology called Random Movement Technology where you download whatever you wish to print on the PrintBrush with a Bluetooth device. Afterwards, you simply move the PrintBrush across the surface of a sheet of paper or any other printing medium. And then you will have the printout.
The toast printer is truly a strange printer that only a total geek would like to have. After all, it can be cathartic to print someone’s picture on toast – you would literally be eating someone’s face. The PrintBrush, on the other hand, is quite a nifty gizmo. It could be very handy to have around.
But while these two unusual gadgets may be hard to lay our hands on, there is one strange printer that we can readily buy from any office supplies shop. It is definitely the obsessive-compulsive person’s ideal gadget. We are referring to none other than the label printer. It is a strange printer in itself.
